Before the advent of the internet when cavemen/women didn’t have the likes of Tinder and OKCupid single gals, like myself, had no real reason to consider ethical questions surrounding the process of dating.
• Engage in cyber dating only if you are seriously searching for a partner. • There are many online dating agencies, and many allow a limited free-trial period. Also, it can't hurt to check out their dating policies. Be honest from the get-go, or you will be wasting your time with unsuitable candidates.
• To prevent email abuse, establish a separate email address for online dating. • Post recent photos, not ones that are 20 years old.
• Do not respond to an ad if you are not genuinely interested. • If you have responded to an ad and the reply is a rejection, don't take it to heart. It just means you are one step closer to finding your love match.
Some may consider this a mild form of prostitution and argue that I should be liberated enough to pay my own way.
But in the grand scheme of things, ladies we are not going to be equal to the men-folk anytime soon.
